The “100 Club” is an important source of fundraising, primarily aimed at supporting the Welsh League side. It costs just £5 per month, includes cash prizes of up to £100 monthly (with a £1,000 first prize at Christmas) but brings in around £2,400 to the Club every year.
The prizes available are:
FIRST PRIZE £100 (£1,000 in December)
SECOND £25 (£250)
THIRD £15 (£150)
FOURTH £10 (£100)
DRAWS are made at the Vetz Club on the last Sunday of each month, are made in the presence of at least two Committee Members and numbers are usually drawn by a non-member. A Result Sheet is placed on the Noticeboard at the Vetz, but all winners are notified by phone or letter directly after the draw. PAYMENT can be in cash to any Committee Member or to the !00 Club Co-ordinator, Mark Samuel before the last Sunday of each month, by cash payment of £60 for a year, or by Direct Debit – contact Mark for details. PLEASE NOTE: members cannot be entered into the December draw unless they have been 100 Club members for at least three months prior to the draw.
GARW S.B.G.C. PLAYER OF THE YEAR

AT THE VETZ SNOOKER CLUB, PONTYCYMMER
The Club held its’ Senior Player of the Year Presentation at our regular Headquarters, the Vetz Club, on April 28th. A full house enjoyed an evening of celebration for the achievements of both the Welsh League and Bridgend League sides, and although the First Team did not confirm their Championship for another five days, everyone present celebrated as though they already had!
Chairman
Michael Lambert introduced the Team Managers, who each spoke in glowing terms
of the development and achievements of their players, and the Chairman then
handed the awards to each recipient in turn.
The main prizes of the night were as follows:

Player/Manager Chris Wells also presented gifts from the players to his father Brian, who has been a wonderful support to Chris this season, to Alex Coleman, the teams’ physic, and to Bobby Stevens, the Clubs’ long-serving ball-boy.
Finally, the Chairman presented CHRIS WELLS with an engraved plaque to commemorate his achievement in winning promotion less than two years after Garw were bottom of the Second Division.
Special
thanks go to Kevin Day and the staff of the VETZ Club for their hospitality,
and to the parents and supporters who have kept the Club alive financially
this year. Finally, a special word of thanks for MICHAEL LAMBERT, the Club
Chairman, who has worked so hard over those two years to put the Club into
